Mark your calendars. Corrigan-Camden High School's volleyball, football and cross country coaches submitted their game schedules for 2017-2018. From early in June, most C-CHS athletes have been busy getting ready for fall sports by running and other conditioning measures.
The Lady Dogs are first to compete as C-CHS Volleyball gets underway early in August. Head Coach Sage Taylor submitted the following schedule:
C-CHS Cross Country Coach Javier Perez provided his team's schedule. While the cross country meets are in the fall, a good deal of his students also participate in the distance running events in track later in the spring. This year's schedule is as follows:
August 26 – Jana Broxson, Chester (HS only)
September 2 – Edward Pina Invitational, Corrigan
September 9 – Salmon Lake Park, Grapeland
September 16 – Red Devil Invitational, Huntington
September 21 – Hudson Invitational, Hudson
September 27 – Elkhart Invitational, Elkhart
October 4 – Coke Classic, Lufkin
October 11 – District Meet
October 23 – Region III-3a Regional Championship
November 4 – State Meet
Last, but certainly not least, "are you ready for some football?" Head Coach Seven Armstrong and the Dogs are certainly getting ready. Student conditioning has been ongoing since right after the end of the last school year. The C-CHS Varsity football schedule is printed below.
Let's not leave out the powerhouse JV and 8th grade teams.
